The historic food trades route
Paris invented the art of hospitality, and this route visits its founding addresses. At Odéon, the Café Procope, open since 1686, and the Polidor bistro, serving meals since the 19th century. Further on, Le Grand Véfour, in the Palais-Royal, open since 1784 under the arcades. Near Madeleine, the Ladurée house on rue Royale, where the double-shelled Parisian macaron was born. To finish at Concorde, Maxim's and its Art Nouveau décor, open since 1893. Seven stations, enough to whet your appetite, literally and figuratively.
