Paris on screen: films and series

Cinema and television have made Paris a familiar set, and this route follows their addresses over twenty-three stations. At Blanche, the Café des 2 Moulins on rue Lepic is the one where the heroine of Amélie (2001) works. At Jacques Bonsergent, Marcel Carné's Hôtel du Nord (1938), where Arletty delivered her "Atmosphère !", was rebuilt in a studio. At Bonne Nouvelle, the Grand Rex and its 2,702-seat main hall under a starry ceiling. At Pont Neuf, Juliette Binoche and Denis Lavant fall in love in Leos Carax's Les Amants du Pont-Neuf. At Saint-Michel, the bookshop Shakespeare and Company appears in Before Sunset and Midnight in Paris. The route ends at Cardinal Lemoine, near place de l'Estrapade, where Emily's apartment stands in the series Emily in Paris.
