Served by: RER A.
Did you know?
Boissy comes from Gallo-Roman Bucciacus, 'Buccius's estate' (6th century), the 811 form reflecting a confusion with 'buxetum', a boxwood grove. 'Saint-Léger' recalls its church. During the Revolution the town was renamed Boissy-la-Montagne.
Anecdote
The Château de Grosbois belonged to Barras, General Moreau and then Marshal Berthier; Marie-Louise stayed there a few days before leaving France in 1814.
