Did you know?

The name comes from Low Latin brucaria, 'heather' (Brocaria in 670). Said to be first mentioned in 797, the medieval village was abandoned, possibly during the Hundred Years' War.

Saint-Vivien church, listed as a historic monument since 1938, keeps a Romanesque chevet with three apses, uncovered by excavations around 1970.
