Served by: RER C.
Did you know?
Chaville comes from Inchadi villa, the 'estate of Inchadus', a Germanic name attested around 800. Vélizy and Villacoublay, once lordships of the Paris Hôtel-Dieu, joined their names in 1937.
Anecdote
In 1674 Louvois, newly lord of Chaville, had the church moved from the marshy hamlet of Ursine to Vélizy; Saint-Denis church still bears his family's arms.
