Named after the Château de la Borne Blanche in Orry-la-Ville, built in 1884 for a Parisian pharmacist and bought in 2006 by the Oise–Pays de France regional nature park, which made it its Maison du Parc.

At Commelles, the 'Lanterne', a 12th-century chimney of a tile works of Chaalis abbey, has been a listed historic monument since 1914; it is often wrongly taken for a lantern of the dead.
