Did you know?
La Garenne-Colombes takes its name from a hunting warren said to have been given to the abbey of Saint-Denis by Dagobert. Bois-Colombes owes its name to the vanished 'bois de Colombes' and became a commune in 1896.
Anecdote
In Bois-Colombes, the wind tunnel of the Hispano-Suiza factory, which settled there in 1914, is a listed historic monument; it has been converted into a school.
