Did you know?
Recorded as Leudone curtis in 862 ('Ledo's estate'), the village owes its 'Saint-Pierre' to the priory founded around 1055 by Walter III, Count of the Vexin. It was renamed L'Unité-de-l'Oise during the Revolution.
Anecdote
In the mid-16th century, Cardinal Nicolas de Pellevé had a Renaissance château built here; never completed, it was largely destroyed in 1830.
