Neuilly-Porte Maillot: history and sights
Served by: RER C and E.
Did you know?
Named after the Porte Maillot, a former gate of the Bois de Boulogne whose name, first 'Mahiaulx' then 'Mahiot', perhaps comes from the old game of mall.
Anecdote
In 1606 the coach of Henri IV and Marie de' Medici nearly sank at the Neuilly ferry; a wooden bridge was built three years later.
