Did you know?
Neuville, 'Novavilla' in the Middle Ages, means 'new farm'; the Oise completes the name. A hamlet of Éragny around a château, it became a commune in 1868 or 1869. The station name recalls the Cergy-Pontoise university.
Anecdote
The park of the Château de Neuville and its Pavillon d'Amour, an octagonal 18th-century pavilion linked to the Mercy-Argenteau family, are listed historic monuments.
