Named after Noisy-le-Sec, whose land is recorded in writing as early as the 7th century; the village of farmers, market gardeners and winegrowers changed scale when the railway arrived in 1849.

Before the First World War, 2,300 people worked in Noisy-le-Sec for the Eastern Railway Company, and the station became one of the great troop-transport hubs.
