Orry-la-Ville (Orium-ville, 1293) adds "la Ville" to distinguish the village from the Château d'Orry. Coye (Caugia, 797) is first cited in a donation of properties to the abbey of Saint-Denis by a vassal of Charlemagne.
Anecdote
The Château de Coye, bought in 1701 by Henri-Jules de Bourbon-Condé, housed industries meant to employ the local poor; it has been a protected historic monument since 2002.
