Persan (Parcentum, 1194) was a lordship raised to a marquisate in 1763. Beaumont-sur-Oise (Bellimontis, 1110, "beautiful hill") was a county bought by the king in 1222-1223.
Anecdote
The Romanesque keep of Beaumont-sur-Oise's feudal castle, about 25 m high, has been classified since 1999; the rest of the fortress was razed after 1815 to make way for a boulevard.
