Served by: RER A.

Did you know?

Recorded in 868 as Torciacum, the name probably derives from a Gallo-Roman personal name. In 1676 Charles Colbert, brother of the great Colbert, became Marquis de Croissy and de Torcy.

Anecdote

The château de Torcy, built in 1748 for the tax farmer de Caze, was demolished in 1838; a cedar of Lebanon planted in 1834 in the town is a listed historic monument.
